About Our Program

The program was established in 2020 following the completion of the Voice It Out project in 2019, which targeted youth in Tartous.

The program was founded as a continuation of the efforts of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tartous to empower local youth. It aims to develop and enhance the skills of young people, particularly leadership skills, and pave the way for them to become active members of their local community. The program also creates a safe environment for youth development through a plan that is renewed annually with each change in the program manager, providing youth-led training and initiatives tailored to their current needs.

The program accepts young people aged 12 to 17 after they submit an application and undergo an interview with a selection committee. Acceptance is based on several criteria, and the program currently has over 80 participants.

The program received the Best Project Award in the Development category at the global level in 2020, making it the only JCI Syria project to receive this award. It has also received several local awards for the program and its associated projects and initiatives. During its years of operation, the program has collaborated with several entities, including (Al-Batoul Association, Hand in Hand Project - Phoenix School - International Skills Academy - Hour of Code Global Competition - SBC Center), in addition to several trainers from different entities.
